  • While the article is new enough and long enough, it is probably not yet ready for DYK. The hook fact is only mentioned in the Plot section and thus doesn't have a reference. A reference could be added since references are optional for plot sections, which might solve the issue, but a better alternative could be to instead write a Development section for the article. In addition, considering the article's relatively short length, I'm worried about the Reception section as it's pretty much mostly review quotations, meaning a significant amount of the article is copied from elsewhere. Right now I can think of two solutions: expand the article further to bring down the proportion, or to rewrite the reception section so that instead they paraphrase the reviews instead of being heavily reliant on quotes.   • Hi, I came by to promote this, and did some editing on the article to align it with what the sources say. But the article is really sketchy, and that's why it's hard to come up with a good hook. (The one you have now is just repetitive.) You have more information you could add from the sources you have, especially to the Production section. The part about Alien's "mythological roots" could be an interesting hook if fleshed out more in the article. Yoninah (talk) 22:04, 3 November 2019 (UTC)

  • Striking ALT1 as inaccurate. According to the source, Philippe was "entranced" by the Alien poster. However, in the words of the article, he was "obsessed by the mythological roots of Alien", so the article could be modified accordingly ("entranced" and "obsessed" are not at all the same thing). The article needs to be updated as well, to reflect what Philippe actually said and to properly quote the article. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:21, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
ALT2: ... that while promoting his 2019 documentary film based on Alien, director Alexandre O. Philippe credited Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion for "getting him excited about exploring the film"?

  • CAPTAIN MEDUSA, ALT2 is a bit too long and might be able to work if recast and its quote is rendered accurately. ALT3 is far too long, and is a copyvio as it uses quoted material without quote marks, so I've struck it. It's important that you be very careful about the accuracy and crediting of quotes. Here's an ALT2a:
This may not be ideal, but at 190 characters, it's under the 200 maximum (ALT2 was 209 in total). I'd be interested in hearing whether Yoninah thinks this is a better approach, or if there's something else needed here.
