Meghan Trainor
[edit]... that American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor released three independent albums before signing with Epic Records?ALT1:... that Meghan Trainor was part of a cover band which included her aunt, younger brother and father?

- I personally prefer the ALT (which can be found in The Boston Globe for anybody looking to check its referencing), so approving that as more interesting. It is well-cited, neutral, free of copyrights, and article was promoted to GA within the last 33 hours. Page is definitely long enough. Given your desire to have the article appear on the main page for her birthday on December 22nd, I presume DYK is your backup plan as there's no chance of getting it as TFA then even if it does pass any FAC within the next month (would take too long). - Hi, I came by to promote this, but as the band has no Wikipedia article, it's not going to pass muster with the folks at DYK. You could leave out the name of the band, or you could propose another hook; this is a GA, after all. Yoninah (talk) 17:46, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
- Yoninah, Is the first hook fine in that case? The fact that she released three independent albums before Title is a fairly interesting but very rarely known fact. Alternatively, I’ve also removed the band’s name from the ALT if that makes it useable. Cheers!—NØ 18:45, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
- MaranoFan if someone has heard of her, would they be interested? But more importantly, if someone (like me) has never heard of her, would they be interested? These hooks are not interesting to me. If the hook fact itself is interesting, it doesn't matter who the person is. Do you have an interesting tidbit in the article? Yoninah (talk) 19:08, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

ALT2: ... that Meghan Trainor's song "Mom" features her mother?- ALT3:... that Rolling Stone called Meghan Trainor 2014's "Most Unlikely Pop Star"?
ALT4:... that Meghan Trainor was the 13th female artist with a debut number 1 song and album in the US?
- I've added three more hooks to choose from but I'm not sure Yoninah will like any of these. If none of these are suitable then just fail the nom I guess. Regards. But if this does get passed, I'd really like it to appear on the main page on December 22 (Trainor's birthday).--NØ 06:20, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
- MaranoFan, you should specify a nation for that last ALT. Here's hoping Yoninah likes these better. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 13:00, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
