Mathew Charles Lamb
[edit]- ... that Mathew Charles Lamb, a Canadian from Windsor, Ontario, killed two in a shooting spree in 1966 at the age of 18, was found not guilty by reason of insanity a year later and, after spending six years in psychiatric care, served in Rhodesia's security forces until he was killed in action in 1976?

ALT: ... that a spree killer from Ontario, saved from the gallows by his insanity, later received a "hero's funeral" having been killed in action fighting for Rhodesia? —Cliftonianthe orangey bit 19:47, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- This guy is from my home town, so I have to review! First thing's first, before reviewing, the original is way too long. I like the ALT, but I doubt executions were done by hanging in 1966. Crisco 1492 (talk) 09:49, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hook: As I said, ALT1 is preferable. Perhaps something like ALT2 ... that a spree killer from Ontario, saved from the death penalty by reason of insanity, later received a "hero's funeral"?, or ALT3: ... that a spree killer from Windsor, Ontario later received a "hero's funeral"?
- Article: New enough and long enough. Referencing is very thorough, although some things should be improved before this makes FA (for DYK purposes its fine though). Images are fine. AGF on offline sources. Paraphrasing checked against this and this, and no issues are readily apparent.
- Summary: Amazing article. AGF on offline sources. Just waiting for feedback about the choice of hooks. Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:13, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Let's go for Hook ALT2. —Cliftonian (talk) 12:06, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- ALT2 is good to go! Crisco 1492 (talk) 13:28, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hooray! —Cliftonian (talk) 13:33, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
