Thank you. I'm sure we should say Lviv in this hook, but not quite sure if more than once in the article, as not sure how town and Conservatory were called when she studied. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:11, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

Overall: hook is alright, but I'd like to give it a day or two to find a better hook. As to me the hook could use some more flow. Maybe replace Violetta for title role? Or how about ... that whenLviv born Maria Moscisca performed the Violetta/title role ...

Long enough, new enough, copyvio is not an issue, hook cited and pic is clear and in the public domain. My option would be ALT1a but as there are differing preferences, I leave the prepper to decide.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 22:20, 4 March 2022 (UTC) Paradise Chronicle (talk) 01:32, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
I believe that "title role" means more to our broad readership than Violetta who could be some secondary character in the story for those who don't know better. I like the Lviv - San Francisco connection, in 1913. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:57, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
  • ALT1 ... that when Lviv born Maria Moscisca (pictured) performed the Violetta in Verdi's La traviata at the San Francisco Opera in 1913, a review described her as "the impersonation of grace and refinement"? Grimes2 (talk) 14:00, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you but see just above, that you and I know that Violetta is the name of the leading lady, but we can't expect the normal reader to know that.
ALT1a: ... that when Lviv-born Maria Moscisca (pictured) performed the title role of Verdi's La traviata at the San Francisco Opera in 1913, a review described her as "the impersonation of grace and refinement"? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:07, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
