María Soledad Iparraguirre
[edit]- ... that María Soledad Iparraguirre was only the second woman to serve on the executive of the Basque separatist group ETA and was wanted by Spanish police for participation in at least 14 assassinations?

- Date, length and hook all check out. Non-English references check out as well.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 11:55, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- I am concerned that some of the phrasing in this article is too close to that of its sources. Compare for example "One of her first attacks saw her spraying a police patrol and a Spanish television crew with machine gun fire at a sports palace near Vitoria-Gasteiz. Five police officers were killed before her cell was destroyed in a frontier gun battle" with "Her first action saw her spraying a police patrol and a Spanish television crew with machine-gun fire at a sports palace near Vitoria. Five police officers were murdered before the cell was destroyed in a frontier gun battle". Nikkimaria (talk) 14:49, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- I've reworded that. Please let me know if you find any more examples. Valenciano (talk) 16:49, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- That's just an example. There are liable to me more. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 06:02, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- I went through the whole article again. There was one other that needed reworded but that's it, everything else seems fine. However as it's a shortish article and practically everything there is backed up by inline citations, people can check for themselves. Valenciano (talk) 07:15, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- Another example: "the most significant blow against ETA in years...had false papers and refused to answer any questions, but were identified by police and by their fingerprints" vs "possibly the most significant blow against Eta in years...had false papers and refused to answer questions, but were identified by police and, Spain said, by their fingerprints". I don't speak Spanish so can't check those sources myself, unfortunately. Nikkimaria (talk) 02:37, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
- Have just pinged Valenciano's talk page to see whether the above was seen; it hasn't yet been acted on. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:15, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

- Sorry I've been busy recently offline and would have missed this but for the ping. "the most significant blow against ETA in years" well the full sentence is "which Spanish officials described as the most significant blow against ETA in years" can reword it but I do think that that is sufficiently attributed to the people who said it. The rest I've reworded. Valenciano (talk) 09:30, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
- According to Nikkimaria, it needs someone who knows Spanish who can check the Spanish sources for close paraphrasing in translation, given the issues with the English ones. Know anyone like that? BlueMoonset (talk) 00:58, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
