Maitreya Upanishad

[edit]
Shiva's wisdom is in Maitreya
Shiva's wisdom is in Maitreya
Sakayanya as Sun-god
  • ... that according to the Hindu text Maitreya Upanishad, "The body is said to be a temple, and the soul is truly Shiva (pictured), one must worship with the thought: I am He" ?
  • ALT1:... that according to the Hindu text Maitreya Upanishad, "the Lord (pictured) is within the heart of each person, he is the witness of the reason's dance, and the object of the utmost love"?

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation

Image eligibility:

QPQ: Done.

Overall: Offline sources accepted as good faith. I wouldn't advise using this as a lead hook, so the image problem shouldn't prevent it from passing. I would still hope that Nvvchar looks into it. Promoter can take a pick of hooks. None stand out. Jolly Ω Janner 05:04, 22 January 2016 (UTC) Jolly Ω Janner 05:04, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

  • @Jolly Janner: I have struck out the Surya.png.jpg image, given your review. The painter Raja Ravi Varma died in 1906, the image is in public domain under "PD-Art, PD-old-100" wikimedia guidelines. The image uploader apparently used the date of upload, instead of date the image was published. The main hook and ALT1 go with the Shiva's image, the ALT2 goes with the questioned Surya.png.jpg second image. This is just an additional comment, as it is not obvious above which image goes with which hook. Ms Sarah Welch (talk) 13:42, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
