In this case, the Macdonald hotspot could be responsible for mid-Cretaceous volcanism in the northern Ralik Chain, The easiest track to unravel in the Cook-Austral chain is Macdonald. Macdonald Seamount rises to within 27 m of sealevel (Rubin and Macdougall, 1989) and has had several eruptions since it was first observed in 1969 (see Johnson, 1970; Johnson and Malahof, 1971). Our choice of its track starts at Macdonald, The evolution of volcano-seismie activity, as evidenced by the various surveys made at seven-year intervals, suggests that the searnount's emergence could occur relatively rapidly.

One of these articles is new and the other is a five-fold expansion. They are both new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline, the articles are neutral and I detected no copyright issues. I have added ALT1, which is derived from the original hook, and I am approving both hooks.
