M. J. Thirumalachar
[edit]- ... that M. J. Thirumalachar discovered two genera of fungi, Narasimhania and Narasimhella, which were later named after his father, M. J. Narasimhan?

- New, long enough, and within policy. Hook is interesting and cited. QPQ done. This looks ready to go. --Coemgenus (talk) 22:15, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Tachs: Coming to promote this, I was looking for one element of the hook, the fact that M. J. Narasimhan was Thirumalachar's father. Their surnames seem to be different, or perhaps naming conventions are different in India, so can you provide a citation for that fact so that this nomination can proceed? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:28, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Cwmhiraeth: Hi mate, The confusion is due to naming conventions followed in some parts of India. The first names are Thirumalachar and Narasimhan respectively; surname is Mandayam which they share. The link here has clear reference on page 19. Article on M. J. Narasimhan by his son, M. J. Thirumalachar. Thanks jojo@nthony (talk) 07:49, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you. Restoring tick as per Coemgenus. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:13, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
