- I'll take this one. Give me a little time. Dwkaminski (talk) 12:41, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Not able to check Crumrin or Mullins references but AGF
- Reference #7 Indiana Senate Resolution 72 gave a warning about possible unsafe site so I did not pursue. Is there a better source to use?
- Reference #8 Indiana Public Radio gives an error message. Please update source or find another.
- Less than 5 DYK credits so no QPQ required
@Dwkaminski: Thanks! Your edits help.
- References for Crumrin and Mullins: I have copies from a local library.
- Reference #7: Sadly even the Indiana General Assembly website is insecure. I added an Internet Archive link.
- Reference #8: The Indiana Public Radio site was alive and well yesterday. Probably temporary technical issues. I added an Internet Archive link.
- Anything else that I can do? Jaireeodell (talk) 18:14, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Jaireeodell: Let me know what you think of an alternate hook:
- ALT2: ...that the spectacle lynching of George Ward drew the attendance of over 1,000 people including women and children? Dwkaminski (talk) 18:41, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Dwkaminski: I like the direct and simple statement. Would it be ok at add "a Black man" to that? Given that it's included in the "Nadir of American Race Relations"? Jaireeodell (talk) 18:50, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- I like leaving it unstated which may draw additional interest to find out. Great article. ALT2 is approved. I'll probably continue to edit because I'm now interested. Thanks! Dwkaminski (talk) 18:59, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Dwkaminski: Thanks for your help! This was my first DYK nomination, so I appreciate it! If you have access to JSTOR, other sources include:
