- I wonder if a better hook could be proposed here, as I'm not sure if any of the hooks could appeal to audiences unfamiliar with Canadian education. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:37, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Narutolovehinata5 and thank you for beginning this review. I absolutely see where you're coming from. I would argue that being the first program director at a major university could be universally important and hooky but I will try to find hooks that are interesting to a broader audience. - ALT3:... that in 2018, Lorraine Janzen Kooistra was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada for her work with 19th century literature? Ryerson researchers named Fellows of the Royal Society of Canada
- ALT3a:... that Ryerson University's first Undergraduate Program Director in English, Lorraine Janzen Kooistra, was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada for her work with 19th century literature?JANZEN KOOISTRA, LORRAINE "Dr. Janzen Kooistra served as Chair of English 2005-2008 and the department’s first Undergraduate Program Director 2010-13" Ryerson researchers named Fellows of the Royal Society of Canada
- @Narutolovehinata5: The reason I keep mentioning the Royal Society of Canada is because this is where her notability hinges on. It is a major scholarly society which reserves fellow status as a highly selective honor. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 17:39, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
- If that were the case, I think it might be better to simply stick to that hook fact (i.e. go with ALT3). Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 03:28, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: I have completed my QPQ. Are you saying Alt3 is good? HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 16:04, 18 June 2019 (UTC)
- No full review yet (will try to do that by tomorrow or Friday), only noting that I'd probably strike all hooks except for ALT3 for the reasons I gave earlier. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 13:58, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

- Article meets requirements, no close paraphrasing found, hook fact cited inline and verified, QPQ provided. All hooks have been struck except for ALT3 and ALT3a: the final hook choice will be left to the promoter. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 23:38, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
