- I moved the article, to include 'United States' in the name (as it is a US-specific article). Length and date are ok. But the original hook is not backed up in the article (says Eastern conference defunct in 1939, but there is also the Northern California Conference defunct in the same year). The hook for ALT1 doesn't mention any of the details in the hook. --Soman (talk) 15:07, 8 December 2013 (UTC)
- Good catch, I didn't noticed that. I added proper reference to ALT1 and screw my original hook change it to ... that the Eastern Intercollegiate Conference and Northern California Conference are the first dissolved NCAA men's college basketball conferences? - Sorry for the late feedback. However, in regards to ALT1 I can't load the reference (http://www.wviac.org/news/2013/7/1/GEN_0701134754.aspx), does others have the same problem? --Soman (talk) 21:49, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
- That's okay. I believe the reference for ALT1 seem to work if you wait long enough but for your request I changed the source. FairyTailRocks (talk) 09:41, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, but http://westlibertylive.com/thetrumpet/?p=6041 doesn't back up the claim of 'longest active' NCAA conference. --Soman (talk) 00:57, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- I changed the source. How about, ... that the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference was one of the longest-running events in collegiate hoops since it's dissolution in 2013? FairyTailRocks (talk) 10:31, 17 December 2013 (UTC)

Or, ALT3: ... that the Eastern Intercollegiate Basketball League was dissolved in 1955 and later renamed as the Ivy League? Your choice. :) FairyTailRocks (talk) 10:44, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
