List of currencies in Europe
[edit]... that the Euro is used in 34% of European countries (two-Euro coin pictured)?

Sorry, this is mainspaced, as opposed to created. Matty.007 15:52, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- It appears new enough. The list is solid, well referenced and well done.
The prose is not very good in my opinion, being partially just a smattering of facts about a few of the currencies. I'm not sure, however, that it's my place to judge the quality of the prose.
- I'm not sure if the 2 euro image counts as free. I strongly suspect that the image is mislabelled, and the proper legal status appears at File:Common face of one euro coin.jpg.
- As for neutrality, it refers to '50' countries, and excludes Kosovo. I'm not sure that the inclusion of Kosovo would improve this, but I figured it was worth mentioning. I don't think that POV was intended.
- Stranger, in my opinion, is the hook. Ignoring the fact that it's a bit dull, it seems to actually contradict the article's contents. By my count 22 of the states listed use the Euro, making 44% (34% would only count the 17 in the Eurozone). I propose the alternate hook:
- ALT 1:... that 22 countries in Europe use the Euro, including several that are not part of the European Union? -Oreo Priest talk 03:13, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
- The reason I excluded Kosovo is that it was not in the recognised states in this list, which I used for the countries. As for the number of countries, I read the wrong figure, and 22 is indeed right. I'm not too good on image licensing, so sorry if I got that wrong. It wasn't too easy to think of a hook which had enough 'hookiness' about it, so thanks for the alt (which will need another review). Thanks, Matty.007 08:08, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
- Good points all-around. On second thought, I was being much too harsh about the prose, and it's actually fine. I've struck your proposed hook with the understanding that approval would be for a different hook, possibly mine. Oreo Priest talk 14:39, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. The reason I was asking is that I am trying to get it to FL. Thanks, Matty.007 16:00, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
- Need a review of ALT 1 from someone other than the hook proposer. It should also be noted that the image is not eligible for use as it does not appear in the article. --Allen3 talk 19:09, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

- Article was moved into mainspace on 10 October. It contains enough prose content and is well sourced. Hook (ALT1) is accurate and interesting. QPQ has been carried out. However, the image isn't present in the article, so shouldn't be used. DoctorKubla (talk) 08:55, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- I agree that the image should not be used. Oreo Priest talk 12:26, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

- I've deleted the image so there's no chance of it being used. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:29, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
