- I do like reviewing broad concepts. The article is a fresh GA, ✓ certainly long enough, ✓ has no other eligibility ruleouts, ✓ and possesses a cited and interesting hook in ALT1. ALT0 is a good hook for Extremophile, but would prioritize the wrong article. The image doesn't seem to have issues, although I think it was intended for ALT0, so might not be applicable to ALT1 (still a good one, though! -- there's probably a caption tweak that can get it ALT1-appropriate?). QPQ done. Vaticidalprophet 07:42, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review, Vaticidalprophet! That image was indeed meant for ALT0, and I'm not sure how I would make it apply to ALT1. I've added a different image for ALT1. ––FormalDude (talk) 08:56, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Happy to approve that image -- it's good in its own right and the source backs up the free license. Having said that, it'll need to be added to the article to be fully eligible. I've added another possible image that if you like for a DYK hook could be added to the article -- how do you feel about it? It's a little less representative given it's a mulitcellular organism :) but it's an aquatic invertebrate, which is still outside the realm of what people tend to think of first off the bat, and it's really a beautiful image (and an FP). I definitely think this hook should get an image slot -- it's a little incongruous to see "life" in the middle of a set. Vaticidalprophet 11:41, 29 September 2023 (UTC)

- I did add that image to the article but it was removed because it's not an image of an individual spore, and that organism's spores are what were found in the mesosphere. So I think I'll scrap that one, I like yours much better. Good find. Do you have an idea of how it should be added to the article? ––FormalDude (talk) 12:02, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Adding another potential image option for ALT1. ––FormalDude (talk) 04:51, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
- Just confirming for the record/making it easy for prepbuilders that image licensing checks out on all the currently-eligible images, so this should be good :) Vaticidalprophet 22:19, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
- Going to promote ALT1 with the last image, but changing the caption to "Life thrives in the deep ocean" for simplicity. Fritzmann (message me) 12:58, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
