Li Lianyu
[edit]- ... that a massive "welcoming ceremony" consisting of fireworks and lion dancers was held to greet county leader Li Lianyu who was returning to town after attending a Communist Party National Congress?
- Comment: A subject that has received a lot of coverage in the world's most populous nation, but likely never seen the light of day in the English-speaking world. I fully acknowledge that all the sources I use in this article is in Chinese; I really wish there were English language sources, to make this article easier to review; that being said, I see this as a positive thing. It means that Wikipedia is the only place in the English-language internet where the subject is covered in depth.
