Lexicon Branding
[edit]- ... that Lexicon Branding created the brand names Pentium, BlackBerry, PowerBook, Swiffer, OnStar, Subaru Outback and Forester, Toyota Scion, Dasani, and Embassy Suites Hotels?
Created/expanded by Lagrange613 (talk), GoCubs88 (talk). Nominated by Lagrange613 (talk) at 07:23, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
- Did you review an another article, or absent that are you exempt? Herostratus (talk) 20:46, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
- This is my second DYK nomination, so I think I'm exempt. Lagrange613 21:07, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
- Very well, no problem. But the article wasn't created on October 13. It was created on October 9. It was then greatly increased by you, but the difference between its state at the end of October 9 and October 13, respectively, is less than a fivefold increase. I'm not a DYK regular so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right, or if this is deal-killer or what. Perhaps a experienced DYK'er could weigh in on this? Herostratus (talk) 16:25, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
- According to User:Dr pda/prosesize.js, the version before I started was 920 B. The version when I nominated it on Oct. 13 was 5528 B. Lagrange613 16:36, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
- 5x expansion for a certain date is calculated from the earliest version on that day, not just what was there when the editor started expanding. The article was 49 bytes upon creation on 9 October and 5528 bytes 5 days later; a clear 5x expansion (closer to 100x). GoCubs88 (talk · contribs) contributed 900 bytes in this time frame (approximately 15% of the article), which should be worth a credit as well in my opinion. 5x expansion is shown. Would you like to continue the review, or should another editor take over? Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:47, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'd like another editor to take over, if you please. Sorry about my error. Herostratus (talk) 16:27, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'm happy to share credit with GoCubs88. I've changed the created/expanded line above; anything else I should do? Lagrange613 17:22, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
- I've touched up the credits (some hidden text underneath what you changed). I'll try and do a review soon. Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:23, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

- Hook: Short enough, quite interesting even though a little blue for my liking, citations check out across four references.
- Article: Long enough, new enough. Referencing is good, well formatted and at least one for every paragraph. Paraphrasing checks (1, 2, and 3) look fine.
- Summary: Good to go! Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:46, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
