Lee Merrien

[edit]

Lee Merrien, competing at the 2012 London Marathon

  • ... that following a Facebook campaign, Lee Merrien (pictured) was named as one of the three British competitors in the marathon at the 2012 Summer Olympics?

Created/expanded by Miyagawa (talk). Self nom at 13:52, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

  • - In the article, you write "He finished 17th in the 2012 London Marathon, which was once again the highest placed British competitor in the race." However, there is no mention of him being the highest placer any other year. Please clarify (in the article) which other year(s) this occurred. Otherwise, everything looks good. I would, however, suggest shortening the hook a bit:
ALT1: that following a Facebook campaign, marathoner Lee Merrien (pictured) was named to the 2012 British Olympic team?

Modified the article to make it clear he was the fastest Brit at the 2010 London Marathon too, using the existing citation (number 7). Also I'm happy with the Alt - it's better than the original. Miyagawa (talk) 20:23, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks. Good to go (or be held for Olympics actually :) ) now. --ThaddeusB (talk) 23:11, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
