Lawrence Cowan
[edit]- ... that American Lawrence Cowan (pictured) regained possession of a copper mine in Sonora, Mexico from Mexican claim jumpers through the Supreme Court of Mexico? Source: "You are strongly encouraged to quote the source text supporting each hook" (clearly discussed in cited newspaper article

- Article created in user space but moved to mainspace in the time frame. Large enough, well sourced, hook fact supported by inline citation. Appears to be written neutrally. QPQ done. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:40, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote this but I find the hook more factual than hooky. Would it work better to say:
- ALT1: ... that American Lawrence Cowan's (pictured) fight to regain his copper mine in Sonora, Mexico from Mexican claim jumpers went all the way to the Supreme Court of Mexico? Yoninah (talk) 23:17, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
- Yoninah, ALT1 doesn't say he was successful. I think this hook uses more words to say less. I think ALT0 is interesting because it highlights that an American prevailed in the Mexican supreme court in a case against Mexicans over a mine in Mexico. I like the original better.
