Unfortunately, the article is currently subject to a deletion discussion. The result of the discussion ultimately decides how this nomination proceeds. I will still conduct a review in the case it survives AFD.
- New – The article is new. It was moved into the article mainspace on October 21.
- Long enough – The article is long enough. Well over 1,500 characters of prose.
- Cited hook – The hook is cited; I was initially worried that the claim came from a tweet, but as it comes from sportswriter Richard Deitsch and he cites ESPN, I think it should be okay. A reference directly from ESPN would be still be preferred.
- Within policy – I'm weary about some of the content in the article, especially as involves WP:BLP. For example, the lead reads: "Rockets guard Chris Paul and Lakers guard Rajon Rondo each had a history of controversial actions mutually and toward others." This statement is followed by three citations, two of which simply reference a single controversial aspect in the past of their respective careers. To me, this comes across as synthesized material. If sources do not cite a history of controversial actions, editors should not make such claims. ?
- Review requirement (QPQ) – This is the nominator's first DYK nomination and is exempt from QPQ.
