Kepler-16b
[edit]- ... that Kepler-16b (pictured) is the first observationally confirmed planet that orbits a binary star?
- Reviewed: This is my first DYK nomination, so I believe I am exempt from a review.

- Can't we fit its nickname in? Perhaps ALT1: ... that astronomers have discovered a real-life "Tatooine"? That would get more hits, for sure. Crisco 1492 (talk) 02:57, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- I was trying to think of how to do that and not make it sound clunky and then I just gave up. If I had to try it would be, ALT2: " ... that astronomers have started referring to Kepler-16b (pictured) as Tatooine?" but I think that is a little simple. Then again, this is my first DKY, and what the hell do I know. Daniel Simanek (talk • contribs) 14:08, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
- We'd probably want more feedback, but I don't think it is misrepresentative if the "Tatooine" is in quotes. Crisco 1492 (talk) 07:36, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
- Sweet. Good to go (again)! Crisco 1492 (talk) 13:11, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
