Ken Giles
[edit]- ... that Philadelphia Phillies' pitcher Ken Giles (pictured) routinely throws a fastball whose velocity exceeds 100 miles per hour (160 km/h)?
- Reviewed: Forthcoming.
5x expanded by Go Phightins! (talk). Self-nominated at 23:16, 29 July 2015 (UTC).
- big enough (5x expand), written neutrally, age ok, hook interesting, needs QPQ and sentence itself needs the ref at the end. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 01:02, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
- Adding icon based on review and also "pictured" to hook; image will need to be reviewed. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:56, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Casliber: OK, QPQ here: Template:Did you know nominations/David Denson ... and the sentence is cited inline in the pitching style section: "A power pitcher, Giles' fastball has hit as high as 103 miles per hour (166 km/h), and he relies on it in tandem with a slider in which he spent much of his developmental phase building confidence.[25][26][27]" See ref 26, for instance. Thanks Go Phightins! 15:57, 5 September 2015 (UTC)
