Kandariya Mahadeva Temple
[edit]- ... that the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple (pictured), meaning "the Great God of the Cave", is the largest and most ornate Hindu temple in the medieval temple group at Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh?
- ALT1:... that the superstructure of the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple (pictured) is built in a steep mountain form, symbolic of Mount Meru which is said to be the mythical source of creation of the world?
- ALT2:... that towers of the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple (pictured) in the form of repeated subset of miniature spires of unevenly cut contour are akin to the shape of mount Kailasa of the abode of Shiva?

5x expanded by Nvvchar (talk). Self-nominated at 07:21, 13 August 2015 (UTC).
- This substantial article is a five-fold expansion that is new enough and long enough. The image is appropriately licensed and any of the hooks could be used as all have inline citations. However if the image is used, ALT1 is less suitable as it refers to the whole temple. The article is neutral and the spot checks I made did not bring up any close paraphrasing problems. What an amazing edifice! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:22, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
