• that Rurouni Kenshin' manga character Kamiya Kaoru was originally meant to die but the author decided to make her survive to give young readers a happy ending?

• Article was promoted to GA on the 28th, so it is new enough. Everything else checks out as well, but I'll have to assume good faith on most of the sources since they're offline. I added the word 'character' to the hook, because Kamiya Kaoru is not a manga herself. Rather, just a character in one. By the way, I'm assuming this to be an honest mistake by the nominator, so I don't feel we'll have to resort to the business of proposing ALT hooks.
