Kalervo Kurkiala

[edit]

Kurkiala (left) in SS uniform

  • ... that Finnish priest Kalervo Kurkiala (pictured, left), a chaplain in the Waffen-SS, believed that military service was good for "country boys" and for "numerous bookworms and spoilt sloppy idlers"?

  • I invited the fellow writers and researchers to comment as well. Drmies (talk) 16:55, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
  • Thorough, detailed article. Length, date, and hook verified. I did not find any close paraphrasing in the article. My only concern is that "The Jäger Movement consisted of Finnish volunteers trained in Germany to take part in action on the northern part of the eastern front" is sourced to page 161 of https://www.doria.fi/bitstream/handle/10024/67001/ahlback_anders.pdf but does not seem to be verified there. My error. I have change the source to page 100 of that report, which covers the assertion. Aymatth2 (talk) 20:36, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for the correction. The article is now ready for promotion to the main page. Cunard (talk) 20:43, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
