KOI-872
[edit]- ... that KOI-872.02 was discovered in a similar fashion to Neptune?
- Comment: Though the sources say it was discovered in the same way as Neptune, which was discovered by its gravitational tug on Uranus, we cannot observe the actual planet which has been gravitationally perturbed, only the changes in the time it takes between each transit of its host star, as the planet itself is invisible from thousands of light-years away. - Article big enough, new enough, long enough, properly cited.
- New editor - waiving QPQ
- Hook is okay but most readers will not know what KOI-872.02 is. Suggest:
- ALT1: ... that the extrasolar planet KOI-872.02 was discovered in a similar fashion to Neptune?
- Good to go. Hawkeye7 (talk) 10:10, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
- I like ALT1 better, it is more clear than my own hook. Wer900 talkessay on the definition of consensus 18:02, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
