Kölner Domchor
- ... that the Kölner Domchor (pictured) from the Cologne Cathedral sang Palmeri's Misa a Buenos Aires at a 2013 festival in Rome dedicated to Pope Franciscus from Buenos Aires, with the composer as the pianist? Source: several

- Comment: 2013 is when the pope was new, but I have no room to mention that, nor that they opened the festival.

Hook eligibility:

- Interesting:
- Other problems: - hook length is at 194 char < 220 (max), I wonder if the ", with the composer as the pianist" can be removed as it does not add something interesting

Overall: Nice article. Can you please translate the two hidden comments to English and add citation where it is needed. FuzzyMagma (talk) 11:29, 6 May 2023 (UTC)
- I have adjusted the article to use the Pope's common name in English, Francis, so I'm proposing a variant of the hook that also slightly revises the composer as pianist:
- ALT0a: ... that the Kölner Domchor (pictured) from the Cologne Cathedral sang Palmeri's Misa a Buenos Aires at a 2013 festival in Rome dedicated to Buenos Aires–born Pope Francis, with the composer at the piano?
- A much shorter version of the hook (I personally think the "from the Cologne Cathedral" is even less necessary than the composer playing the piano as part of the performance, so if only one clause is to be removed, I'd opt for that instead):
- ALT1: ... that the Kölner Domchor (pictured) sang Palmeri's Misa a Buenos Aires at a 2013 festival in Rome dedicated to Buenos Aires–born Pope Francis?
- ALT1 runs 130 characters excluding "(pictured)", well short of the maximum 200. ALT0a is 189 characters. BlueMoonset (talk) 22:26, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for fixing the pope's name, - it hadn't occurred to me. - The ALT's are fine. I'd support ALT01 over ALT0 if the choir is pictured, but otherwise I think that our average reader wouldn't even know that Domchor means any choir, let alone a cathedral choir which is typically formed of male singers only, - which I find kind of quirky given the tango connection. I also doubt that many readers would immediately know that "Kölner" means "from Cologne", but where in Germany actually doesn't matter much in this international hook playing in Rome. We sang the piece to a standing ovation, also with a composer present, and if you get a chance to hear it, go, even if you otherwise don't care about sacred music. I have a ticket for a performance in September with the composer playing. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:32, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
- you yet to address my two comments above. I prefer ALT1, but can I propose removing “Buenos Aires–born” thus

- FuzzyMagma, I sourced two things but could find no ref for the final service on TV in 2004, - commented out as a detail that's nice but not crucial. Similarly, I postponed translating things for which I couldn't find a reference. - I prefer mentioning the composer as a pianist in a hook because that's what he - unusually - does a lot. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:26, 13 May 2023 (UTC)

- @Gerda Arendt: I think it’s better to remove the untranslated hidden comments if you can’t translate them. As for the hook do you mean **ALT0b: ... that the Kölner Domchor (pictured) from the Cologne Cathedral sang Palmeri's Misa a Buenos Aires at a 2013 festival in Rome dedicated to Pope Francis, with the composer at the piano? FuzzyMagma (talk) 21:24, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
- I could translate them, but not reference them. When I leave such things, I always hope that some day I - or someone else - will have more time and more success finding refs, but I can of course remove them if they bother you. - The last hook is nice, thank you! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:30, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
- ALT0b is good to go. I will embrace your optimism and hope for the best, i.e., I have no problem with leaving the hidden comments untranslated. Thanks for the nice article FuzzyMagma (talk) 21:49, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
