Probably the most controversial fact, the 200 pesos embezzlement, is supported by Gaceta Mexicana, which I believe is a reliable news source. The hook draws on several facts in the article, which are all supported by in-line citations. I think the hook could be more interesting, however, the alt hooks I thought of aren't neutral.
