- "to be equipped in the Specola observatory of the Academy of Sciences of Bologna Institute?" is hardly correct English. Johnbod (talk) 17:50, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
- ALT1 ... that in 1741, Pope Benedict XIV arranged for astronomical instruments made by the Englishman Jonathan Sisson to be installed in the observatory of the Institute of Bologna Academy of Sciences? (using their own better translation), but something about inventing the modern theodelite might be more interesting frankly. Johnbod (talk) 17:50, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
- The theodolite design is more important in the scheme of things, although perhaps it was ready to be invented, but the word "theodolite" would turn off many readers. The Academy is also interesting. I prefer the sense of the first hook with simplified wording. How about:
- ALT2 ... that Pope Benedict XIV arranged for Jonathan Sisson's instruments to be installed in the Bologna Academy?
- Aymatth2 (talk) 02:31, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
- ALT hooks need reviewing; original hook struck due to grammatical issues. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:06, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
