Johnny Evers
[edit]- ... that Baseball Hall of Famer Johnny Evers (pictured) weighed only 130 pounds (59 kg) during the peak of his career?

I kinda like ALT1.
- ALT1 ... that Johnny Evers (pictured) alerted an umpire to Merkle's Boner?

- for ALT1 -- Hook fact is footnoted, and hook source is online, verifiable and appear to be reliable. Hook short enough. [Not sure about the original hook. The word "peak" is not found in the article.] Expansion new enough and long enough (now confirmed by DYKcheck). Refs in proper format. No concerns with reliability of sources. No neutrality or BLP concerns. Random googling of various sentences indicated no concerns related to copyright violations, close paraphrasing or plagiarism in the article. Pic from WCommons, old enough to be free and appears to be properly tagged. Good to go. --PFHLai (talk) 06:33, 27 July 2012 (UTC) BTW, as we currently have many, many sports biographies already in stock, I recommend using this hook after the Olympics & Paralympics are over. --PFHLai (talk) 06:38, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
