[edit]... that Joany Badenhorst was the first female snowboarder to represent Australia at the Winter Paralympics, but was forced to withdraw after suffering an injury training on the morning of her event?

- In early 2011, she underwent surgery to rectify problems with her leg following her amputation.
- She joined the South African Paralympic program and competed at the 2009 Paralympic Youth Games.
- Also, footnote 2 doesn't say anything about why her family moved to Australia.
- It says: Her architect father Peter brought the family to Australia, largely to get the best medical attention.
