- Comment: (1) The article Henry James Marriott was a stub for some time, then became a redirect. My expansion was moved to mainspace, to replace the redirect, on 2 March 2019. (2) I'm not sure if the optometry-optics link in ALT2 is correct (not my subject), so it needs checking.

- What a life! On good sources, the one I can't see accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. The image is licensed and shows the period well. - Of the hooks, I like the theatre premiere (ALT1) best, but think the normal wording would be "world premiere", not debut, which is rather used as "he made his debut as ...", and "on stage" deems redundant. Reword als ALT3? - In the article, the last image seems pretty useless, at least I see nothing ;) - I'd write more summary of his life in the lead than mention relatives, but that's up to you.

- Thanks, Gerda, for the review. I have added more about his life in the article header, and explained the last image. You do have to click on that image to see Marriott standing there in front of his mock-classical wooden false-front hall, proudly in a tall hat, with his chest puffed out and holding his lapels, Victorian-style - but worth the effort! - Thank you, for both. If you or someone watching come up with better wording, - I'll watch. I could imagine to name the play, for example. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:46, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
- I think this needs a better hook. Most of the "facts" are inaccurate, and there is plenty of interesting stuff in the biography to find something different. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:25, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

- Thank you, but I believe the play would be more interesting, and what's wrong with that? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:39, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
