Overall: ...before having even played in a high school game
: Technically he played a HS basketball game. Perhaps some like "played a high school football game". There is also an outstanding "citation needed" tag. As an aside, independent of this DYK, the Newspapers.com link you placed above, https://www.newspapers.com/clip/122310641/the-daily-oklahoman/, is accessible without any login. But the ones on the WP page, like https://www-newspapers-com.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/clip/122310641/the-daily-oklahoman/, required Wikipedia login, presumably because there is "wikipedialibrary" in the URL. Anyway to get them all to be "newspapers.com" URLs instead? —Bagumba (talk) 09:43, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Bagumba: I altered the hook to say
that Jalen Redmond received a college athletic scholarship offer before having even played in a high school football game?
From my reading, that sentence with the cn was verified by the ref; see my comment in the edit summary. I also manually changed the urls (though I had thought CitationBot had been doing that...) BeanieFan11 (talk) 14:54, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
