Jack Chesbro
[edit]- ... that Hall of Fame pitcher Jack Chesbro received his nickname "Happy Jack" while working in a psychiatric facility?
- Comment: My backup choice for a hook is "... that Hall of Fame pitcher Jack Chesbro is considered one of the pioneers of the spitball?" Not sure which is better.

- Date and hook (I prefer the original hook) check out. I am not sure that the 5x expansion criteria is quite met. "Readable prose size" was 352 words at the start of expansion and 1651 words when I checked today. However it is a detailed, well referenced article and I consider it is worthy of inclusion in DYK.
