Ivy Parker
[edit]- ... that Ivy Parker was the first woman to receive a PhD in chemistry from the University of Texas?

- This is a very informative new article about a woman scientist who I think got too little credit during her lifetime. The DYK nom is timely, made almost immediately after the article was posted in mainspace. The hook is good (certainly got my attention), and well under the 200 character limit. The article meets the length requirement, and reliable sources are used. I see no plagiarism or too-close paraphrasing. The article should correct or clarify a few minor items. I have posted those on Sam Walton talk page. Overall, I approve the nomination. Bruin2 (talk) 15:11, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
I can't find any prior reviews by the nominators, and I don't know whether they qualify for the QPQ exemption. Can some other reviewer check that? Bruin2 (talk) 16:20, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review & extra comments Bruin2. As for the QPQ; because this is Brinacor's first DYK nomination they do not need to review another. Sam Walton (talk) 11:15, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
