Irwin Untermyer

[edit]
  • ... that after his father got sick, attorney Irwin Untermyer had to make an oral argument in a U.S. Supreme Court case? Source: NY Courts. "The younger Untermyer made a name for himself when, because of the illness of his father on the day of oral argument, he replaced his dad and argued for the Transit Commission before the Supreme Court. The case was decided in favor of the city and the 5-cent fare was preserved."

  • Article was moved from draft space on 11 January, is over the required size limit and has no copyvio issues. Page is well sourced and neutral. The hook is interesting and supported by a reliable source. Once a QPQ review is provided, this hook will be good to go. Kosack (talk) 10:19, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
  • @Kosack: Thanks for reviewing this article. I did a QPQ. epicgenius (talk) 19:10, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
  • QPQ added, hook is good to go. Kosack (talk) 21:11, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but have a question about the images. The second (family) picture looks like a photo or scan of a newspaper article. I wonder if the licensing is correct? The first image might be the same thing. Pinging @The Rambling Man: for input here. Yoninah (talk) 21:28, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

Yep, that licensing is odd to me. No evience of source, no evidence it was released to the PD by the family. In short order, I'd just delete it from the article. If you wanted to chase it up, I'd mark it for deletion. The Rambling Man (talk) 21:33, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

I removed it. I too could not find the original source, nor can confirm that OP's image is PD. epicgenius (talk) 23:23, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
  • Thank you. Restoring tick per Kosack's review. Yoninah (talk) 23:35, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
