Investiture of Zimrilim
[edit]- ... that the 18th-century BC fresco, the Investiture of Zimrilim (pictured), depicts the king of ancient Mari receiving the symbols of rule from the goddess Ishtar?

- Comment: I would really appreciate it if the picture is used with the hook, as it's a very unique piece of art.

- Nice article and an interesting topic. It's generally well-written, the sources are good and the picture is at least illustrative (if not technically of great quality). There are a couple of things I'd like you to address before I pass it, though. Please reword "It shows goddesses dispensing water from round vases out of which vegetation is sprouting where fish is swimming in the water streams" - it's not at all clear. Also, what is a Lama goddess? This needs to be explained or at least wikilinked, if there's a related article. Prioryman (talk) 00:50, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review. I've tried splitting that sentence into two "It shows the Lama deity dispensing water from a round vase. Plants are shown sprouting from the vase and fish swimming in the flowing stream." I hope that's clearer now. I've also added a little explanation on Lama, "...Lama, the minor goddess of intercession in Mesopotamia..." Unfortunately there isn't an article about her yet. - Good work, thanks. I'm happy to sign it off now. Maybe an article on Lama could be your next DYK. :-) Prioryman (talk) 07:22, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

- Any news? It's been a week, well past "a couple of days". I would have happily promoted this during the past few days with the image there now, but respected the request to wait. Please give an update as soon as possible. Thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 02:34, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
