Interleague play (NPB)
[edit]... that Nippon Professional Baseball introduced regular-season interleague play between the Central and Pacific Leagues for the first time in Japanese professional baseball history in the 2004 season?Source: "The owners of professional baseball clubs approved a plan Wednesday to hold interleague regular-season games next year for the fist time ever."[1]- ALT1:... that out of the thirteen Nippon Professional Baseball seasons that have included interleague play, the Pacific League has beaten the Central League in all but one season? Source: "In 13 years since interleague play was introduced, the CL has led in wins just once in 2008." [2]

- The article is new, long enough, well referenced and neutral. I couldn't see any close paraphrasing from the English sources. Regarding the hooks, the original hook seems to be incorrect: the article says interleague play was introduced in the 2005 season, not 2004. I find the ALT1 hook more interesting (as someone who knows nothing about Japanese baseball) and it is supported by an inline citation – the source is in Japanese but it's fairly easy to verify from the numbers and logos. Also, Torsodog, I see it has been some years since you last had an article at DYK, but the rules changed a while ago so that every nominator with more than 5 DYK credits has to review an article for every new article they nominate (a "QPQ review"). If you aren't feeling confident with reviewing DYK nominations, there is a reviewing guide here which may help. 97198 (talk) 11:59, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
