Impact events on Jupiter
- ... that Jupiter is sometimes called a "cosmic vacuum cleaner" because asteroids and comets frequently impact the planet (such as Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9, pictured)? Source: [1]
Improved to Good Article status by Artem.G (talk). Self-nominated at 08:59, 14 January 2022 (UTC).
- Substantial article, meeting of GA criteria implicates DYK pass. Article is well written and cited. QPQ has been completed. No pings on Earwigs. Hook is interesting, cited, and short enough for DYK, but might flow better if it's phrased "a 'cosmic vacuum cleaner'" (or "the 'cosmic vacuum cleaner'" if it's the only example of this phenomenon).
