- New enough and long enough. Interesting article and hook. Strong sourcing. QPQ completed. Good to go. EricEnfermero HOWDY! 03:18, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
- @EricEnfermero:, did you check the sources for close paraphrasing? Yoninah (talk) 22:59, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
- No, because it looked to me like all of the sources with prose were PD due to age. I'm not very active at DYK, so I will address that if you think it's necessary. EricEnfermero HOWDY! 00:37, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
*In the second paragraph of the Professional football section, the sentence about the AFPA founding is sourced and that source includes the year (1920) and the names of the teams, including the Detroit Heralds. The next sentence has a cite to Pro-Football-Reference.com that shows he played for Detroit in 1920. Does that work? EricEnfermero HOWDY! 02:45, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- I'll take a look and fix anything that needs fixing tomorrow. Cbl62 (talk) 03:43, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
- There may have been a slight ambiguity in the hook. To fix that, here's an alternative:
