[edit]- ... that Howard Gobioff was one of the architects of the Google File System, which allowed for computation speeds never before possible?
- Reviewed: New nominators are exempt from the review requirement, according to the DYK rules. Nevertheless, I may still review a submission in order to experience the process, that is, once I've had time to familiarize myself more with the process. If I do so, I will post that here once it's done.

- Long enough, new enough, QPQ unnecessary, no copyvios found, hook short enough and sourced. My only moan is that ledes do not necessarily need references - they merely summarise the contents of the main body of text, and should be incorporated into the main body. That said, that's not a DYK requirement and this is good to go - consider doing that in your own time.--Launchballer 08:04, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
