Homme au bain (painting)
[edit]... that to fund its purchase of Homme au bain (pictured), the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston "deaccessioned", or sold, eight other works?

- Newly moved to article space, long enough, neutral, with sufficient citations. Image is public domain, and it's a high-resolution Google Art image. Hook is interesting, although the article has potential for other(s) which I may suggest. QPQ done. I don't have time to do a thorough copyvio check now, but I'll get back to it soon. - I ran all of the online refs through the dup detector and didn't find any problems. The hook fact was sourced, but didn't have a ref immediately after it, so I added a duplicate ref. The original hook is good to go, but I'm suggesting some ALTs:
- ALT1: ... that to fund its purchase of Man at His Bath (pictured), the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston sold eight other paintings, including works by Monet, Renoir, and Gauguin?
- ALT2: ... that Boston's Museum of Fine Arts sold eight works to fund the purchase of Man at His Bath (pictured) because of donor reluctance to pay for "a painting showing some random guy's naked butt"?
- If one of the ALTs is to be used, someone should independently verify it. MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 08:50, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
- ALT1 (163 characters) and ALT2 (191 characters) are both supported - refs 9 and 10 under 'History and acquisitions' section. I prefer the ALTs, so have struck the original hook and will leave the final choice to whoever promotes it. I'll confidently AGF on the rest of Mandarax's review.
Just sticking another tick here so it's easily seen by others and to confirm ALT hooks have been checked. SagaciousPhil - Chat 10:42, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
