- ALT1: ... that Earle Bunker said he waited twenty-four hours to capture his Pulitzer Prize winning photograph (pictured)? Source: Earle Bunker has said that he waited 24 hours to take the picture
- ALT2: ... that after Earle Bunker waited twenty-four hours to capture his Pulitzer Prize winning photograph (pictured) the flash bulb on his camera failed? Source: Bunker, wielding a 9-pound Speed Graphic camera with a large flash attachment, took a shot, but the flashlight failed. He threw the offending bulb under the train. He had to withdraw and reverse his film holder, then pull the protecting slide. He whirled, to find the poignant tableau in front of him. Bunker pressed the automatic release, which actuated the shutter in a split second, and caused the flare of the flashlight to ignite at the same split second. This timing had to be perfect, or the picture would have been a loss.

Overall: Interesting work done here. I am ok with using ALT1 or ALT2. The original hook sounds a bit vague and the 2 ALTS sound more interesting. I am learning towards ALT2. If we go ahead with ALT2, I think we should add "(pictured)" to the hook to make it clearer? Imcdc Contact 14:40, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Imcdc: Thank you for the review. I added (pictured) to the hooks. Bruxton (talk) 15:31, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
