Hitler-Ransomware
[edit]- ... that Hitler wants your mobile phone gift cards but he may have upset the other Nazis? Source: IB Times, Computer World

- Comment: For April Fools Day
Created by The C of E (talk). Self-nominated at 09:29, 14 February 2018 (UTC).
- Article is new enough, long enough, reliably sourced, no copyvios, ideal for April Fools (though look how much hot later I got into over Trump and Russia). I can't work out where "he may have upset the other Nazis" comes into it, though. :-/ Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:54, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Ritchie333: It refers to the Grammar Nazis mentioned in the article. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 17:59, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
- Ah, got it - that was in a different source. I've added that to the nomination. Might it be an idea to link "Nazi" to Grammar Nazi (which is a redirect to Linguistic prescription)? I fear somebody will complain about this on DYK talk, but as far as I'm concerned it's a fine April Fools' hook. As you were. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 18:06, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
- In mocking up this April 1's preps I've taken the liberty of rewriting the hook as:
- ... that Hitler's demands for mobile phone gift cards may have upset some Nazis?
- Pinging Ritchie333, The C of E. Feel free to override that. EEng 04:29, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
