- Although the article is long enough, I don't think it is new enough. It seems to have initially been created on the 21 October in the mainspace and there was no significant expansion on 30 October (the date this nomination is for). Can you please check WP:DYK and tell me which of the Eligibility criteria under new you think article falls under? Achaea (talk) 13:31, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
- I'm unsure why the edits are not showing up with the correct date, but I turned this page in for an assignment that was due on 10/30 and should have added the majority of my edits on this day. If anything, the submission should only be a day or two off. I've also seen exceptions made for other pages in DYK if the articles are of high enough quality and length. Is there any way that this article can still qualify? — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnuBalasubramanian (talk • contribs) 16:05, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
- @AnuBalasubramanian: Thank you for replying! I can only go by what the page history gives my sadly, in which case this nomination would be for 22 October. I don't know about exceptions in this, but I will leave this nomination open for a more knowledgeable reviewer to comment. In the meantime, you might want to have a go at making your page a little more accessible to the central public. Some parts of it contain quite a lot of jargon and scientific language. See more on this at WT:JARGON. Additionally, if your replying to a discussion here, please indent your response and sign with four tiles. You can find more information about that here: Wikipedia:Tutorial/Talk pages. I hope this helps. Good Luck! Achaea (talk) 17:14, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Achaea: Noted, thank you! I will work on those other edits. AnuBalasubramanian (talk) 17:16, 7 November 2019 (UTC)
- This interesting article is the result of a student project and is long enough and new enough for me. The facts of original hook are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright or plagiarism issues. I have struck ALT1 as being too specialised. The identity of the bracket fungus in the image is unclear making it only marginally relevant to the hook. No QPQ is needed. Well done! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:14, 8 November 2019 (UTC)
