Hilda Annetta Walker
- ... that Hilda Annetta Walker painted horses (example pictured)? Source: "Many of the paintings available for viewing on the web are of horses, but most of her work was of Wharfedale".

- Comment: It's such a great picture that I didn't think it needed much of a hook, but I can write you a more complex one if you like.

- The image called "The Charge" that I originally paired with ALT0 is no longer free, so here is a free image called "To the Rescue" to replace it. Thank you . Storye book (talk) 19:13, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Everything looks good as far as DYK eligibility, including the image. However, a more "hooky" hook would be better if possible; would you mind adding something in there to make it more interesting? ~EdGl talk 23:07, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review. Yes I agree - now that the original picture is gone, the hook doesn't work any more. I'll find a better hook and get back to you. Happy Christmas! Storye book (talk) 10:08, 25 December 2020 (UTC)

(Source: "Pictures and war effort", Bradford Observer, 29 May 1941, "In spite of the sneers of the highbrow against any pictures being photographic ... some of us wish that the modernistic daubs we sometimes see were considerably more so. We should then know without consulting our catalogues what they really represent".) Storye book (talk) 10:34, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks, this is better (and Merry Christmas to you as well!). I think the bit about Modernism would be even more interesting and relevant if the fact that she was a figurative artist was mentioned, something like:

- I'm happy with your intentions for ALT2, but because you missed out the horse-painting it now doesn't make sense. If you don't want the horses mentioned, you could maybe say "example of her work pictured", or similar?. Thank you. Storye book (talk) 21:46, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
