High Street Phoenix

[edit]

The Chimney at High Street Phoenix is reminiscent of a past era

  • Article length and date of creation check out. Image has appropriate license tag. The hook fact is interesting. Some problems, though, that need to be fixed. The first sentence in the "Redevelopment" section is quite awkward and ungrammatical (there may be a word missing and/or a couple extra words). Also, I don't see the hook fact being supported in fns. 5 and 9 don't seem to support it. Further, even the article does not assert that the chimney on the site was the mill's "original chimney." For the hook to be promoted as is, the article will need to be modified to show that it is the original chimney and provide a reliable in-line source. Cbl62 (talk) 04:35, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
  • With due respect - "The location of Ruia's office is in stark contrast to his business. Ruia owns Phoenix Mills, the sprawling shopping destination in Lower Parel, Mumbai. But maybe, it reminds Ruia of another time in a previous century when Phoenix Mills, iconic smoke chimney and all, was a crumbling part of the city's landscape" - ref 9 ([1]) and "The rule says: if an existing mill structure is broken down, one can build only up to 30 per cent of what it was ... So we decided to keep the structures and build into and around them" - ref 5 ([2]). Iv reworded the said sentence as well. Cheers, Around The Globeसत्यमेव जयते 05:58, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
  • You have improved the wording of the sentence referenced above -- much better. The sources do support the fact that the chimney is old, but neither the article, nor the sources cited, say that it's "original" to the commencement of manufacturing in 1905. I'd suggest changing "original" to "existing." If you're ok with that (or if you have another suitable adjective for the chimney), please make the change an I will approve the hook. • The hook is now ok as modified. Cbl62 (talk) 14:41, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
