5x expanded by Ed! (talk). Self-nominated at 17:47, 25 February 2018 (UTC).

  • Expanded well over 5x. Long enough. Within policy. QPQ is done. Both hooks are appropriate length. Both use the same reference, but neither is quite in line with it. The source says "about 38 days" and that the CfIR was the "first funder". Both hooks can be corrected with minor tweaks, but I think the first one is more interesting. Notified nominator on his talk page. Argento Surfer (talk) 18:24, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
  • OK. Just made these tweaks. —Ed!(talk) 01:33, 27 February 2018 (UTC)
Both of these are good to go, but I prefer the original hook. Argento Surfer (talk) 14:03, 27 February 2018 (UTC)
  • The hook should be a lot punchier if you want it on the main page for International Women's Day or Women's History Month. It is very intriguing that the name of the film alludes to women; perhaps something of that could be included in the hook? Yoninah (talk) 00:02, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
  • OK, I found the allusion in one of the sources and added it to the article. Here is an alt suggestion:
  • ALT2: ... that Heroin(e) follows three women fighting the opioid epidemic in Huntington, West Virginia, where the overdose rate is ten times the US average? Yoninah (talk) 01:26, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
  • I hadn't even thought of that. Good idea! And yes, in that case I like your hook better. —Ed!(talk) 01:58, 4 March 2018 (UTC)

New hook has an inline cite. Reviewing the hook only. Ticking Alt2 (changed tracks to follows, change back if you like). It could possibly have "Oscar-nominated short film" at the start and I would tick that too. Philafrenzy (talk) 17:44, 5 March 2018 (UTC)

  • @Philafrenzy: thanks for the review on short notice! I'm adding in the Oscar nominated part:
  • ALT2a: ... that the Academy Award-nominated short film Heroin(e) follows three women fighting the opioid epidemic in Huntington, West Virginia, where the overdose rate is ten times the US average?
  • ALT2a is approved and ready to run. Yoninah (talk) 18:23, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
