- Review comments:
- The article was written more than 5 days ago, but it was nominated within 2 days of having been written. Done
- It is long enough, is neutral, has in-line citations from reliable sources. A couple of things
- Some of them are accessed through InfoTrack which requires a subscription. In that case there should be some sort of note, such as "The source content was accessed via InfoTrack, a subscription required site. Done
- I added one citation needed tag for a missing citation, but subsequently found one. Done
- There is one source - for his place of birth and death, census information and wife - that appears to be from a site that gathers people's recollections. See About Us. If that's the case, it's not a reliable secondary source that would have some sort of editorial, fact-checking function. I tried to find another source for this basic biographical information and didn't find anything to directly use. The possibilities are: 1) that there might be some biographical information in the newspaper articles on InfoTrack, 2) in the Bénézit Dictionary of Artists or (less likely) the Witt Checklist of Painters, 3) an old obituary...
- The hook is less than 200 characters, interesting, neutral and accurate. No image presented. Done
- The nominator is reviewing another article Done
- Close paraphrasing / copy vio / copy-edit review / image placement above "references", etc. - I've made some edits and don't see any further issues. Done
- Summary: There are two open items above under the "a couple of things" indented bullets, other than that it looks good to me! I have a couple of additional thoughts to run by you on the article talk page that don't affect the DYK.--CaroleHenson (talk) 10:20, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
- Added done for InfoTrack.--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:00, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
- Regarding the last issue, the Canvey Island source, please see the Talk:Henry Jamyn Brooks#Census records section where I outline the discrepancies between the data quoted by the questioned source and actual census records. It seems to have been a scrambling of information about a Henry J Brooks born in London and married to Jane and another born in Birmingham and married to Selina.--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:38, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
- Added done for InfoTrack.--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:00, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
I made updates to the content and citations to resolve the unreliable source. It looks good to go!--CaroleHenson (talk) 19:44, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
