Helen C. White
[edit]- ... that Helen C. White (pictured) was the first woman elected president of the American Association of University Professors?
- ALT1:... that Helen C. White's (pictured) graduate students called her "the Purple Goddess" partly due to her predominantly purple wardrobe and exceptional height?

- for main hook only. Article is well reffed and of a good length. No paraphrasing spotted. Alt1 is only mentioned in full in the lede and is not reffed. The main hook is cited to an off line source. Not sure about the image as one source says she wore Royal Purple and not lavender - this image is free to use but is colorized. I'll let the promoter decide. Thanks @Czar Victuallers (talk) 21:25, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks! If the nominator is interested, Alt1 is sourced in Madison ¶4, which is what the lede references. czar ♔ 22:37, 10 February 2014 (UTC) Also, if the concern is for truth in advertising, the WSQ src (p. 44) mentions that she wore shades of purple including lavender, specifically. czar ♔ 04:01, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
- I don't like the use of the colorized image for an encyclopedia, especially since we don't know the exact color (and per Victuallers' comment, it's probably not close), or even if she was wearing purple at all when that particular photo was taken. I'd much prefer the original black and white photo. MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 22:52, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- Fine by me, but I also don't think the colorization is a big deal, per my note above. czar ♔ 04:01, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
- either hook is GTG - is this for March 8th or ASAP ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Victuallers (talk • contribs) 17:49, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
- No date preference (ASAP). Thanks! czar ♔ 18:29, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
