Length and date of the expansion are fine, but some paragraphs lack a citation at the end. (I wrote the James Walker (Royal Navy officer) article so I know what you say is true, but for completeness it should be cited here as well). Both hooks are cited and sourced.
I think (thanks to your additions) that's fixed now. The Land (talk) 20:50, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
The paragraph ending with the description of Walker's taking of command and the gunboat scheme is not cited. I'm also a little concerned with some potential OR/Synth surrounding the name, which I've highlighted on the talk page. Benea (talk) 12:59, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
That paragraph has three references in it... Victuallers (talk) 15:13, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
And now one at the end as well. - The Bushranger One ping only 01:47, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
The orginal nomination. The alt hook would need to be rewritten slightly as it is not the ship Monmouth captured that is being rebuilt, that ship sank long ago and her wreck still lies on the seabed. It's an entirely new ship being built. So a viable alt would be:
