Hôtel Meurice
[edit]- ... that Salvador Dalí lived at the Royal Suite Alphonse XIII in Hôtel Meurice in Paris for periods over a duration of 30 years?
Created/expanded by Dr. Blofeld (talk), Rosiestep (talk). Nominated by Dr. Blofeld (talk) at 14:09, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
The article has not been expanded fivefolds during last 5 days. Before expansion it had 3,900 (4,507 bytes) characters and after expansion it has 8,046 characters (16,564 bytes). Taking in consideration that nominator is very experienced I will ask him if I am wrong. --Antidiskriminator (talk) 17:25, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
I removed a copyvio from the article which is what you linked here and started expanding it from this. The copyvio version before should not count as the text is invalid and illegal as I wiped the slate clean. If you count how much prose has been expanded..♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:30, 11 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your clarification. I can continue my review in three days. I hope it is not too late.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 08:47, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
- The article is new and long enough because it has been expanded five-folds (from 1,483 to 8,046 characters). Presented sources for the hook do not support the name of the suite (Royal Suite Alphonse XIII) Dali lived in. One of two of them mentions that a new name of the suite is presidential suite. The article is neutral. It cites sources. I haven't noticed any sign of copyright violation. The size of the hook is ok (124 characters), it is interesting but there is an issue with inline citation not supporting the name of the suit. I don't see information about the DYK review nominator performed although he has more than 5 DYK credits (684). --Antidiskriminator (talk) 18:33, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- Was called the Royal Suite, Alphonse XIII being King of Spain followed by a president of Spain. Occupied the Royal Suite♦ Dr. Blofeld 22:33, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. None of the presented sources supports the Alfonso XIII part of the name of this suite. Sources explain that it was Royal suite, used by Alfonso XIII, which was later renamed to presidential suite. The official website contain information about two presidential suites on the first floor. What do you about removing Alfonso XIII part of the suite's name?
- Please don't forget to point to the review of another DYK nomination.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 22:59, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- I believe that recent edits of nominator mean that the name of the suite was only Royal Suite, without Alphonse XIII, I guess we should consider alternative hook? Still, there is an issue of review which is not addressed yet. --Antidiskriminator (talk) 23:07, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

- The hook is interesting, accurate and cited with an inline citation in the article.
- for ALT1 after the author reviews an article.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 23:25, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
